課程概述 |
This course is designed for engineering students who wish to explore environmental process by modern molecular techniques. The course will start with a review of basic molecular biology and follow by introduction to application methods. Students will expect to participate in group discussion and projects.
Contents:
Part I: Basics of genetic engineering: Recombinant DNA technology
Genetics of Bacteria and Archaea
Genetic Engineering
Part II: Microbial Genomics
Microbial genomics
Microbial evolution and systematics
Part III: Field Applications
Environmental sample collection and process
Microscopy, philological, and cultural methods

At the completion of this course, student will:
1. Be able to understand the basic of molecular biology
2. Familiar with modern molecular approach in environmental monitoring |
